Situation
We are on the doorstop of Iraq's second-largest city, Basra. Troops of the British 7th Armoured Brigade will conduct an assault and capture the Al Zubain Airbase then proceed to clear the ouskirts of the city in order to secure the western flank and to allow as much of the civilian population to flee the city as possible. Simultaneously, an artillery battery of the Royal Horse Artillery will conduct a barrage over Hussein Airbase in order to eliminate any air treat. NOTE: Before the briefing of this operation, we will be taking a few minutes to remember one of our unit's members who sadly passed away just over a year ago and who's last deployment was Operation Honeybadger: VIII.
