In response, the Afghan National Army has launched Operation Homecoming, a coordinated counteroffensive to reclaim occupied territory and restore security throughout the region. We are part of the main effort to retake the district, and have been tasked with clearing enemy-held positions, reopening key routes, and restoring Afghan government control.
