Structure

Awards

How medals are earned Awarded by hand, by rules, or both, and every medal's steps.

Manual

Awarded by hand

The default for every award. The team that looks after it grants it when they judge it earned. No rule runs.

Automatic

Meet every line of one of a step's ways and it is granted overnight. Nobody grants it by hand.

Both

The rules run, and the team can still grant it early. A way can also just flag the member for approval.

Earned again, a medal usually gains its next attachment on the ribbon rather than a second medal.
Checked every night. A member who meets a way is granted it, or waits on the Approvals page.
Nothing is taken away automatically when a condition stops holding.
