SITUATION

When the world put their attention to the conflict on Altis and Stratis, the green sea region went ignored. Takistan has emerged as a big player in the region.  On June 1st 2035, on the 23rd anniversary of Operation Arrowhead, Takistan forces conducted a large-scale military exercise to show off their newly acquired military equipment procured from China and Russia.

The exercise lasted 3 days, symbolically ending on the same hour as Operation Arrowhead, 23 years ago. General Rashid Kareem Al-Nassar, commander of the Takistan forces, commented that this show off force is to deter another American attack into the region, but experts believe it has to do with a potential invasion of either Karzeghistan or Ardistan. The experts were proven right and the Takistani's seized the opportunity created by the conflict on Stratis, and on July 10th launched an invasion of Ardinistan.

Takistan quickly siezed border checkpoints and towns along it, then made steady progress deep into Ardinistan, and in 2 weeks, siezed just over 40% of the territory. With NATO being tieded up on Stratis, no help could come from its members, but Ardistan instead, turned to Russia for help. President Makarov on August 3rd, authorized the deployments of several battalions, including the 72nd Separate Special Purpose Battalion, stationed in Chernarus, to deploy into the region. Whilist the majority of the battalions deployed into Ardinistan, the 72nd got orderer into Takistan directly.
