Situation

Alternate reality, late 2019. Tensions are brewing in the Balkan country of Illyria and the country is on the brink of collapsing. Rising inflation, economic recession, clear divide in the quality of life in different parts of the country, rising nationalism, and forming of nationalistic groups seem to fuel the crisis. In early January of 2020 the government survived a coup attempt by Rascian nationalist group and in retaliation subdued over 60% of the territory into martial law in the coming 2 months. Under martial law, Rascia demanded that every country gives full control to the central government. Countries like Dardanija, Paeonia, Dioclea and Dinara with little troops and rising local corruption in the territorial defense force had no choice but to comply with the demands. On the other hand, Lapodes, and Carantania, the two powerhouses both military and economically with the full support of the western European countries, declared their Independence on the same day, on June 26th, 2020. As both countries had autonomy over their imports and exports, they have in secrecy stockpiled a great amount of both locally produced and imported weaponry and have planned to announce their independence for a handful of years. With both countries almost immediately being recognized universally and the central Illyria government not recognizing the claim, a war broke out. 

The central government responded by sending troops to the borders with Lapodes, and Carantania sent the 72nd brigade troops with the attached 15th Wing in support. 3 months into the war, the combined armies of Lapodia and Carantania managed to hold the northeastern part of the country, but lost control of the entirety of southern Lapodia with the front lines stopping just outside Karlovec, and most of the territory in Carantania, with the capital being all but overrun.

Overstretched supply lines, an almost 400km long frontline and low morale in the INA troops, hold the advance of the assault with only small-scale skirmishes along the frontlines with various levels of success. With the hopes of independence being far from dead, the defenders begin a counter offensive along most of the frontline. 

Objective

• Prevent the enemy from overrunning the last bit of territory before Karlovac. 
• Liberate the majority of villages in the area of Kondun,
• Liberate Beketov,
• Prevent excessive damage to civilian infrastructure, 
• Provide humanitarian and medical supplies for civilians,
• Help rebuild on liberated land,
• Drive the enemy forces out of the Kondun area of operations.
