Who can attend a debriefing

A debriefing is a self-reflection of the performance of a specific element or callsign and so you can only attend a debriefing for a limited number of reasons;

  • you are an immediate subordinate of the element leader conducting the debriefing
  • you are the element leader
  • you are none of the above - but you ask permission of the element leader before entering and they permit you to attend - or invited you to attend, in limited circumstances - such as;
    • a supervisor in a training capacity
    • a member of the senior ORGCOC, such as the CO or XO
    • the field leader
    • a game master
    • in which case;
      • You must gain permission of the element leader before entering the debriefing
      • you must remain on mute while attending the debriefing
      • you are not permitted to talk in the debriefing

Element leaders must be considerate when expanding attendance of their debriefings to allow subordinates to freely share honest feedback.
