Retirement

Members who go inactive are discharged unless they apply for an Honourable Discharge. Retirement is a status reserved for those with significant contributions to the unit and no major conduct issues and this assessment is made by Unit Command on a case by case basis. Retired members retain access to most UNITAF services and can continue participating in UNITAF activities, denoted by (Ret.) appended to their rank.
