Understanding Command Units and J-Groups

Command Units: A command unit oversees and manages a specific collection of related staff groups (J-Groups), enabling its function while upholding unit standards. Each command unit is commanded by an Officer who reports to the Commanding Officer.

J-Groups: A J-Group represents a specific and focused area of effort managed by an NCOIC with support from multiple NCO positions. J-Groups enable unit-wide contributors to support their efforts through approved and assigned activities.
