Situation
The British 1st Airlanding Brigade, as part of Operation Market Garden, are attempting to capture Arnhem and the bridge over the Nederrijn (Lower Rhine) river. Expecting light resistance in the form of soldiers that are unfit for duty, they are tasked to capture and hold the bridge until the XXX Corps arrives from Nijmegen. GAMEPLAY NOTES: - Each squad is required to have someone who is capable of flying a glider. Glider pilots, please ensure you practice the landing! - Gliders will be towed by planes flown by the MST. GENERAL NOTES: - Due to map limitations, this deployment will loosely follow the real life events of the battle of Arnhem, and is more of a "what if" scenario, rather than a true to life re-enactment of the battle. This also means that: - troop movements and drop/landing zones aren't accurate - towns and cities are smaller and in different positions than in real-life.
