2nd/506th PIR are gearing up to move into Carentan. In the late hours of June 11, after the causeway into the town has been secured by the 502nd, German high command pulled significant troops out of Carentan, but the town is far from empty.

E Coys objectives are to capture a T-Juncion, Railway station and clear the southern part of the town, before moving and setting up defenses in preparation of a counter-attack.
