20 March 2003 The invasion of Iraq has begun. Recon marines are at the top of the spear moving northwards performing recon and town clearing duties ahead of RCT-1 advance. Their first objective is to recon a potential SCUD site and act upon intelligence found in field. HITMAN 1 operating in M1123 Humvee's; - 2x .50 cal - 1x mark 19 - 1x no armament NOTE As part of the RCT-1 theme, we are uniquely using USMC-style squads with three fireteams. Squads leaders should be aware of this going in. The Field Leader can advise on considerations to be most effective with this, for us, unusual structure. We encourage trying it out for yourself and we welcome all questions.
