NIGHTHAWK 1 is tasked with infiltration and sabotage behind enemy lines. The designated GROM Squad needs to investigate buildings 2 km south of the Svarog Main Command Center for enemy activity. Then move 2km east and mine the crossroads. Finally, EXFIL back to the Svarog Base.

Intel on enemy activity was updated, and the critical crossroad was mined.

The purpose is to recon and delay OPFOR movements towards Svarog main command centre.

CONCEPT OF OPERATION

NIGHTHAWK assembles at Svarog, then moves south on foot to recon along the border and confirm whether enemy presence can be detected in the vicinity of a compound (148-008). NIGHTHAWK will then move eastwards and disrupt OPFOR movements by placing mines along key roads at or around the junction at 069-009.

SCHEME OF MANOEUVRE

PHASE 1 NIGHTHAWK moves to compound on foot, with NIGHTHAWK 1-1 leading the movement. NIGHTHAWK 1-1 bypasses the compound and sets up east of the compound, observing eastwards, whilst NIGHTHAWK 1 enters and investigates. PHASE 2 NIGHTHAWK moves westwards, with NIGHTHAWK 1-1 leading the movement. NIGHTHAWK 1-1 identifies good locations for mines, and coordinates with NIGHTHAWK ACTUAL with regards to the selection of locations. NIGHTHAWK 1 sets up appropriate defensive positions providing overwatch for NIGHTHAWK 1-1 whilst the sapper places mines and provides close support. NIGHTHAWK 1 should also be in position to quickly manoeuvre and flank OPFOR elements if required. PHASE 3 NIGHTHAWK exfiltrates, towards Svarog whilst avoiding OPFOR positions.
