Situation

Following years of internal conflict with militias and insurgents, the legitimate government of the Republic of Veridia has requested UN military assistance. In response a US Navy Carrier Strike Group was sent to the region to stabilize the island. After a hasty landing and an initial skirmish, a squad detachment is tasked with pushing out the beachhead by clearing surrounding villages harboring militia fighters to the south west and finally, if able, raiding a small logistical base. Eliminating the small but vital logistical hub will cripple enemy resupply in the region. Continue reading
