September 29th 1985 Northern Army Group WARNING ORDER - IMPENDING ENEMY ATTACK Soviet forces have regrouped north of Rostok and are believed to launch an attack with the aim of capturing Smitty Airbase. Days have gone past with no movement in the North, but just a few hours ago, forward recon teams spotted soviet motorized infantry advancing, under the cover of the night, west towards the town of Kirvansk. A US Army motorized infantry platoon is tasked with relieving a defence line garrison in anticipation of a Soviet attack on Nikovskaya. NOTE: Due to reports of clandestine operations with the use of civilian vehicles, and curious overflights of soviet transport aircraft, the checkpoint and SHORAD networks have increased.
