Anti ISAF sentiment is on the rise in the region following the civilian casualties caused in Qatandar. Recent Intelligence shows the Taliban are using this incident to rally support, with the city being the main target of their efforts.

A platoon of Royal Marines are dispatched to investigate reports of Taliban recruitment.

ANP have pulled out of the area temporarily due to a recent riot. No friendly forces are in the AO.

Unknown force strength. Taliban recruiters are operating within the city according to Intel and may have already successfully armed and radicalised some of the population.

East of Qatandar a large force was encountered and destroyed by our vanguard. Enemy forces consisted of large numbers of infantry and multiple technicals, a similar makeup is expected for any additional insurgent force.

Route out Taliban recruiters operating within Qatandar and securing any additional intelligence. We should also try to restore trust with the local population following the friendly fire incident.

Additionally the abandoned ANP outpost should be secured.

Recruiters captured or killed, captured alive is the preferable option.
Removal of the Taliban presence in the area.
Limit further civilian casualties.

Simply, the intent of this combat patrol is to transit down to Qalandar and begin the search for Taliban recruiters in and around the town. Whilst there, the platoon will respond to any immediate threats in the vicinity of Qalandar, and check in with a friendly ANP Outpost which appears to be having communication troubles.

Phase 0 Warlock platoon transit via Phantom's trucks down the blue route to Qalandar, taking note of civpop in Makan Aljamal. Primary dismount is at Alpha, just outside the town. Should any trouble arise or any contact be encountered, dismount Bravo will be our secondary. Phantom to utilise troop transport trucks to carry main infantry force of Warlock. Phantom are also to take note of any humanitarian issues along the way to be reported back to base and if possible assisted during our mission. Phase 1 Warlock to deploy to assigned sectors (demarked by Tan line)- Warlock 1 will push straight down towards the town centre whilst 2 clears the initial Northern perimeter of the town before moving around to the South side. Meanwhile, Phantom are to transit back to base to retrieve LOGPAK for future use and supplies with which they can establish an Aid Camp near the mosque on the Northern edge of the town. Phase 2 After searching and clearing the town of Qalandar of Taliban presence, Warlock will deploy available elements to make contact with the ANP Outpost to the South. Should there be any trouble in that area, Warlock will assist before returning to base.
