Situation
During the raid on Camp Holiday, our forces were unable to complete data scrubbing protocols due to the high level of hostile interference. The level of damage caused by explosives and the subsequent fire were believed to have destroyed our paper trail. However, a few days later, GCHQ alerted command to a security breach pertaining to one of the old devices. Using a laptop left behind during the raid, someone attempted to access encrypted data but were unable to get anything usable. GCHQ began to track the laptop’s ping where possible. Initially placing the laptop at the home of one Sadat Fahim, ajournalist working at the Fallujah Times. Soon after, the laptop was moved to an Iraqi military base, suggesting Fahim had turned the device over to the Army. Yesterday, an infamous hacker known as Chimera (Khimera - Химера) landed in Fallujah. GCHQ has informed command that someone is again trying to access the data. With Chimera’s help, we believe the Iraqi army now has the capability to breach our encryption. With relations souring due to recent events, the Iraqi could sell this information to hostile nations.
