Background Information

The year is 1968, the USA never deployed to Vietnam. The USSR took the fall of Southern Vietnamese forces as an opportunity to forward deploy troops and reinforce their position in the Vietnamese peninsular. The PSRV welcomed this with arms open. Last week the PSRV formally invaded Laos and Cambodia, both nations governments quickly fell and both PSRV Forces and USSR Forces have begun reinforcing the area. Our Intelligence assets in the region believe that they may be staging for an attack on either Australia or The Philippines. This CANNOT happen

After the recent attack to secure the USMC a FOB in Vietnam we have been tasked to assist the Australians who need help to regain part of their FOB. Following this the Australians have supplies that are required to be airlifted to support a local rebel faction to the north. We believe that the area is clear of anti air threats but hey what's the worst that could happen? Its not like your going to end up stuck and cut off behind enemy lines. Right?
