Situation
Background Information
During the mission that took place two days ago we found intelligence which showed some daunting scenes of a certain Islamic State figurehead torturing and executing innocent lives. Through further inspection we identified the suspect to be "Sawbones Jim". Sawbones Jim is the nickname we have given an Islamic State Figurehead who leads propaganda on the ISIS front in Iraq. He has turned many civilians to the side of ISIS so taking him out will slow that process.

Mission
Tasking
Intel suggest Sawbones Jim Operates between two towns in Diyala, Rasheed and Al Ubaidy. Both teams are to work together in efforts to move through these towns and find Sawbones Jim. It is requested to capture him though authorization to execute the target will be given to the Squad Leader if needed. We also have intel that there could be possible scenes of warcrimes these scenes are to be photographed for use in our own propaganda. Expect possible live prisoners within the towns these are to be secured and evacuated if possible.
End-state
MISSION COMPLETE CONDITIONS: Once the target has been captured or executed.
Mission failure conditions: If the target escapes or the squad is pushed out by enemy forces.
Mission failure conditions: If the target escapes or the squad is pushed out by enemy forces.
Execution
Commander's Intent
To capture or kill the head of ISIS Propaganda in Diyala, Sawbones Jim, but preferably capture. During the search any prisoners of war must be secured and told to wait in a safe area. Once Sawbones Jim has been captured or killed we will then move back through the towns and bring the Prisoners of war back to the Pickup Zone. For War Crimes both teams will be expected to capture photos of them and report them up the COC.
Tasks and Sequencing
Both teams will be inserted via Merlin to the primary LZ. And them move silently through the trees over to FOB Al Jaarah. Any enemies inside will be taken out and we will search for the means to disable the radio tower blocking enemy communications in the towns of Rasheed and Al Ubaidy. Once this is done the teams will then begin to move down to Al Ubaidy and begin searching. Any enemies that fire on us can be taken out but try to avoid alerting a QRF from Kahn Bani Saad but with communications down the chances of a QRF are low. If the target is not found in Al Ubaidy then the teams must move down to Rasheed and continue searching. If the target is found in Al Ubaidy then both teams must move onto securing any prisoners of war and getting them to safe areas ready for extraction. When moving through the towns any warcrimes found must be pictured. Once both objectives have been complete we will move out and cross a bridge over the river for extraction.
Route will be as follows:
