Situation

Background Information

A recent ambush on a convoy transporting confiscated anti-tank (AT) equipment—specifically mines and launchers—has raised concerns at HIGHCOMM. The successful insurgent attack suggests either a leak or an increase in enemy reconnaissance capabilities. Command anticipates the captured AT assets may be used imminently against our armored units, prompting an immediate shift from reactive defense to proactive offense. Three-star rating: ☆ little to none expected ☆☆ decent amount expected ☆☆☆ Heavy emphasis / main focus of Operation Expected Level of Combat : ☆☆ Expected Level of RP: ☆ Expected Difficulty: ☆☆☆

Friendly Forces

  • 1x Airborne Ranger Squad
    • Light infantry, trained for rapid air assault and direct action operations
    • Equipped for high mobility and close-quarters combat
  • 2x MH-6 Little Bird (Transport Variant)
    • Rapid insertion and extraction of personnel
    • Ideal for low-profile, quick-response missions in confined terrain
  • 1x AH-6 Little Bird (CAS Variant)
    • Close Air Support platform equipped with miniguns and rockets
    • Provides overwatch and fire support for ground elements

Supporting Assets

  • 1x Recon Team
    • Embedded within the AO
    • Conducting surveillance on active insurgent movement patterns
    • Providing real-time intelligence to support targeting and operational planning
  • Enemy Forces

  • Multiple insurgent pockets dispersed across the Area of Operations (AO), operating independently but capable of coordination when opportunity allows.
  • Likely using terrain and local civilian cover to avoid detection.
  • Insurgent Capabilities
  • Employment of improvised "technical" vehicles (civilian trucks mounted with heavy weapons such as DShK, SPG-9, or recoilless rifles).
  • Possession and potential deployment of outdated armored personnel carriers (APCs), including:
    1. MT-LB: Tracked transport vehicle
    2. BRDM-2: Reconnaissance vehicle, may be used for mobility and surprise attacks.
    3. BTR-series: (BTR-40/60) may be used in limited numbers for shock or logistics roles.
Possibility of captured or refurbished anti-tank (AT) equipment being integrated into ambush tactics.

    Mission

    Tasking

Deny the enemy the ability to threaten friendly armored assets by swiftly identifying, isolating, and eliminating hostile AT caches and cells through precision strikes and coordinated ground sweeps. Speed, accuracy, and minimal collateral damage are priorities.

    End-state

Enemy AT capabilities neutralized or severely degraded. Local insurgent cells disrupted. Confidence restored in armored operations’ freedom of movement.
