Maintain a reasonable supporting distance

Keep the distance between supporting small enough that in case of a bad situation, support can be given.

This roughly means the following:

  • Individuals: within talking distance: ~10m
  • Fireteams: within shouting distance: up to 100m
  • Squads: ~500m
  • Platoons: ~2km
