As a medic working at a mass casualty incident: follow the following organizational hierarchy:MERT officer SF medic or platoon medic MERT technician MERT assistant or squad medic Combat medic Combat life saver execute the tasks given by those above in the hierarchy give tasks to those below in the hierarchy Old text: MERT Officer>SF Medic or Platoon Medic>MERT Technician>Squad Medic/MERT Assistant>Combat Medic>CLS In any instance where there are active casualties the senior medic on scene should be coordinating medical activities. This is particularly important for CCP’s as often it is a lack of coordination which results in longer down time for both casualties and the wider units they belong to. Therefore the following hierarchy exists, broadly following the associated tiers for a given role: In an instance where multiple medical personnel on the same tier are present (eg. a combat medic and a MERT assistant) whomever was initially coordinating the area eg. arrived first continues to do so.
