When entering a helicopter you must enter from the sides due to the firing arcs of guns facing forwards and the dangerous tail rotor at the back. Some helicopters such as the Chinook are only enterable from the back, in these instances, you should move to the rear of the helicopter to avoid the front as that is where the door gunners are positioned.
