The role

The sniper is the junior member of the sniper team, equipped with the sniper rifle. The duties of a sniper include: Following the directions of their spotter. Engaging high-priority, key enemy personnel. Assisting the spotter in locating, identifying, and prioritizing targets. Providing intelligence and reconnaissance to the platoon alongside the spotter. A sniper team is a versatile element. Equipped with a precision rifle and magnified optics, they are just as capable in intelligence gathering as they are in key target elimination. As a small, independent and detached element, sniper teams can operate undetected and from within enemy lines - ensuring reconnaissance and precision fire support where other supporting assets cannot.
