Task-Organise a Force

Organise available elements and capabilities to meet mission requirements.

  • Identify the capabilities required for each task.
  • Assign elements according to their strengths and limitations.
  • Attach specialist and supporting elements where required.
  • Establish clear command relationships for attached elements.
  • Avoid giving a subordinate leader excessive direct reports.
  • Confirm each element understands who it supports and reports to.
  • Adjust task organisation as mission requirements change.
