Establish Control Measures
Create control measures that support coordination and execution of the plan.
- Identify where coordination, reporting or movement control is required.
- Select control measures appropriate to the plan.
- Anchor control measures to recognisable terrain.
- Assign clear names and purposes.
- Tie each control measure to an action, restriction or reporting requirement.
- Deconflict boundaries, routes, fires and areas of responsibility.
- Brief control measures to all affected leaders.
- Remove unnecessary measures that add clutter without supporting control.
